Glossary

Market Trend = Generally there are 3 trends or price movement directions, an uptrend, downtrend and sideways trend or the horizontal trend

Uptrend

Uptrend is when a Price movement’s overall direction is pointing upward.

Formal uptrend is when each consecutive peak is higher than previous ones in that trend

Downtrend

Downtrend on the other hand is when the price movements’ overall direction is pointing downward.

Formal downtrend is formed when each consecutive peak is higher than the previous peaks in that trend

Sideways

Sideways Trend (aka. Horizontal Trend) is the price movement that occurs when the supply and demand are nearly equal which is why it is regarded as a period of consolidation before the price continues in the direction of its previous trend.
